The short answer is that Midwest Unconference is a crowd-powered “gathering” being held in Chicago, Illinois, on October 17-18, 2008.
The conference will be a place for bloggers, social media junkies, tech heads, developers, web entrepreneurs and anyone interested in connecting online to get face time with each other and share ideas.
Your collaboration required
Midwest Unconference is a not-for-profit, collaborative effort to create a world class event for bloggers and social media users/marketeers. Because of this, we need as much help as possible.
We need help in the following areas:
* Venue (we currently have a back-up venue in the loop, but it’s highly likely that 50 seats will not do justice. We’re hoping an IT department and one of the universities will open up the doors for us.)
* Speakers and Panelists (yes, YOU could be a speaker or panelist!)
* Scheduling
* Event Marketing
